so, haha, summer is officially over for me. classes started today, but, since i only have classes on tuesdays to thursdays i'm one lucky beaver. haha. on the contrary, i'm actually pretty excited to go to school. geeky as it may sound, summer was getting kinda boring for me anyhoo. haha. and besides we've got a new building in school so that's always excitement. haha, that's actually the first thing i've looked forward to since i transferred to CSB. it's not bad really, but you know how it all goes. i used to study in ateneo by the way, for two years even, haha and i wasn't kicked out. european studies just wasn't my thing. ironically, ateneo has an equivalent of my current course in CSB, which is MMA, haha, so really stupid of me for not transferring to that course. haha, i didn't even have any idea that there was a similar course up until a few months ago, and to think that i transferred 2 years ago. haha.

soooo, i've been going around DA as usual and i just find it funny how some people are even here on DA. i know people are supposed to give criticisms and all that but some people just outrightly bash others. not that they're any good themselves. haha.

take for example this one comment i saw a month ago. the work was featured as a DD so obviously it's something big, but then there's this guy who comments something like "he did that using live trace so how can it be featured as a DD?" honestly, i'm not an expert on illustrator but even i can tell that the guy didn't use live trace. haha. so, really, come on people, if you're gonna say something, especially something to that extreme, be sure that you know what you're saying. haha.

there's also this other one i just saw recently. apparently, this deviant does some kind of fan art, then this guy comes in saying that it's "complete crap". haha. i don't even use the word "crap". he even goes on explaning in a lengthy manner how the piece was "crap". and, honestly, i was thinking, "haha, you're a dweeb". no offense, of course. but come on, there's a whole load of difference between criticism and simply saying you don't like it. haha, unfortunately his explanation tended to be more on the subjective side of things rather than on more constructive stuff. haha, plus his explanation was definitely dweeb. haha, i don't even know if that's just the way he explains things or if he's trying to impress people with the stuff he knows, because seriously, i don't think anyone would even think of the stuff he said, haha, maybe 1 or 2 at that exact moment, but when you really think about it, not a whole lot. not that it's important anyway. haha, he's not really looking a whole lot sophisticated if that's what he wanted to be. and definitely not savvy. haha. soooo, why do you care anyway? that's what she wants to do, so why can't she? like, come on, if you're going to limit your mind and imagination to textbook, that's such a waste of potential and creativity. haha. so anyhoo, i take a look at this guy's page and well, i just couldn't see how he can give comments like that considering his works. haha. and to think that the bashed deviant's gallery is actually a whole lot better than his, actually on a highly different level, of course, technically speaking. haha, i know i don't have traditional stuff here, but believe me, i know a thing or two about drawing and painting and i can say that the basher didn't really bring it on, if you catch my drift. so, everything's supposed to be settled now, but you know, it's really dumb why people start all this in the first place. haha. i think, he needs to learn to cheer up. be more open-minded you know, go out, take walks, pick out flowers or whatever. don't try to nitpick every single thing you see in society because honestly, nothing's perfect, and if you cut yourself up that high, you'll be the only one that would be there and i'm pretty sure that won't be any fun.
